Sometimes the path leads us somewhere we do not expect.

A doorway opens, and on the other side waits a moment that will live inside us forever.

It might arrive after a long road, or in the instant of a single glance. But when the meeting is true, something in the soul knows: life will never be the same again.

One year ago, Tony drove over 1,200 miles from his home in northern Oregon to Sedona, Arizona, to mee Lujan Matus. Arriving at the sanctuary just ten minutes before his first session, he felt both eager and a little nervous — not knowing that the days ahead would change his life in ways he could never have planned.

A Journey Into the Unknown

From the moment Tony stepped into Lujan’s sanctuary, the atmosphere felt alive. Over several days, he experienced vivid visions, profound energetic shifts, and insights that would stay with him long after the journey ended.

One moment stood out above many others. On the second day, his dantien — a center of energy he had never even known existed before Lujan’s teachings — made a subtle “burp.” Instantly, his attention rushed to the source. He heard it first — a sound that was not a sound — then felt it ripple through his body like textured waves. He could even see the vibration as it moved.

Tears of Joy

On the night after their final session, Tony found himself in his camper, dancing and singing with joy. Warm tears streamed down his face as he smiled, unwilling to sleep for fear of losing the feeling. The next morning, the tears continued for hours as he ate, packed, and began his long drive home.

These were not tears of sadness. They were tears of joy and bliss — hundreds of them — a sustained current of gratitude for Lujan, for himself, and for all things.

A Year That Changed Everything

In the year that followed, Tony thought often of his time in Sedona — both in moments of happiness and in times of challenge. This became one of the most difficult years of his life. Although physically safe and comfortable, he slipped into a slower rhythm, perhaps even a kind of stillness that felt unfamiliar. Yet through it all, the connection to source that had deepened in Lujan’s presence remained a quiet anchor.

The Solstice and the Eclipse

It was only later that Tony realized his visit had coincided with the winter solstice — and during one of their sessions, a solar eclipse. To be in deep energetic work within the sanctuary at that precise moment in cosmic alignment felt both humbling and fated.

Gratitude and Continuation

Tony remains deeply grateful for the insights and practices he learned, including the Opening the Tao form. With Lujan’s guidance, the teachings became accessible and lasting.

A year later, the blessings of that week continue to flow — not as a closed chapter, but as an ongoing current, reshaping his life as he moves with it.
